Bodnar priorities: censorship and Ukraine Crime Court

The echo of the violations of global law by the 3rd Republic of Poland, concerning the protection of criminal Benjamin Netanyahu, has inactive not been silenced. Meanwhile, Adam Bodnar revealed his ideas for the Warsaw Presidency of the European Union. alternatively of fighting illegal immigration and the Ukrainianization of Poland, its aim is to introduce censorship and mass prosecution of Ukrainian immigrant critics. He besides wants to establish ... a tribunal for crimes in Ukraine.

It is not known from present that Ukraine is more crucial to the cultural Ukrainian Bodnar than Poland. Head of Justice Ministry of the Government of Tusk gave an interview to the Ukrainian agency Ukriformin. The discussion addressed, among others, the issue of the government's migration strategy. Bodnar was asked how the implementation of the migration strategy will affect Ukrainians' lives in Poland. – For me, as lawyer General, it is very crucial to fight all forms of xenophobia and hatred speech said, referring to the issue of the government's migration strategy.

– For me, as lawyer General, it is very crucial to fight all forms of xenophobia and hatred speech. Let us not forget that a migration strategy is 1 thing, but we must besides be aware of the consequences it may have for social cohesion. The prosecution has circumstantial tools to prosecute various forms of hate. Fortunately, these cases are not much. They're known to happen, but the prosecutors are beautiful active in this case. He said.

No little interesting were his statements in the context of the establishment of a peculiar tribunal for Russian crimes in Ukraine. Here's the full point:

For me, in the context of the Presidency, it is most crucial to strengthen and bring to the EU the issue of work for the most serious crimes of global law committed as a consequence of Russian aggression against Ukraine. This subject has been discussed respective times in the EU, especially in the EU Justice and Home Affairs Council (JHA). In fact, there is no gathering of this Council in which we would not rise the issue. However, it is very crucial to build pan-European support for the different forms of responsibility, as well as to strengthen the institutions that do this on a regular basis.

For example, a typical of Eurojust, an EU agency coordinating the work of judicial and prosecutorial authorities, which operates a peculiar working group on aggression crimes (International Centre for the Investigation of Aggression Crimes), is always working at meetings of the EU Justice and Home Affairs Council. There is besides a joint investigation group, including the engagement of Polish prosecutors, who investigates war crimes committed during Russian aggression against Ukraine. And this must be continued and strengthened.

At the same time, we are now waiting for crucial decisions on the establishment of a tribunal for the crimes of aggression against Ukraine.

All indications are that this court will be established within the structures of the Council of Europe. This organisation brings together all European countries but Russia and Belarus. In this context, it is very crucial to support EU countries. erstwhile I was at the last Council meeting, the representatives of the EU countries spoke very clearly on this issue and, importantly, they were not only representatives of countries specified as Poland or the Baltic States, but besides of another countries for which this subject is important. That is why I would like to proceed this discussion.

The next chance will be at the informal gathering of EU Justice Ministers, which will take place on 31 January in Warsaw.

I do not want to talk about erstwhile this tribunal will be called. We will work to make it happen as shortly as possible. This will, of course, happen with the agreement of all associate States. Another crucial issue is the continuation of the measures already taken at Council of Europe level, namely the introduction of the registry of Wrestling for Ukraine. And now we have another phase – the establishment of the Crimes Commission.

It is besides a process which Poland should strengthen and here as the Ministry of Justice we cooperate closely with the Ministry of abroad Affairs of Poland, due to the fact that it is the Ministry who controls the full process. I am very arrogant that there is an outstanding human rights expert, prof. Alexander Menzhikovska, in the registry of Szkod.

I would besides like to stress: although this is not straight linked to the leadership, it is personally crucial for me that Polish prosecutors cooperate very actively with the Ukrainian prosecution. They were on a mission in Ukraine in the context of the designation of war crimes, interviewed over 3,000 witnesses, including refugees who are in Poland. This work is inactive ongoing. Our mission is to prepare these cases so that they can be examined later either by the tribunal for crimes of aggression or simply by the global Criminal Court.

OUR COMMENTS: It is simply a pity that Bodnar is not equally active in setting up a judaic Crime Court in Palestine. There's nothing to do here. People like him would not have time to deal with stupid things, specified as combating criticism of Ukrainian “war refugees” in Poland.

We besides recommend: Grzegorz Braun will run for the presidential election
