Blinken: Israel supported our truce plan. We await Hamas' decision

"Israel supported the US proposal to suspend weapons in the Gaza Strip, now Hamas must do the same," said U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who met Prime Minister Binjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem on Monday. "I am here to bring about an agreement on the truce and exchange of Israeli hostages for Palestinian prisoners" - Blinken stressed. The head of American diplomacy besides met Monday with president Icchak Hercog and defence minister Joaw Galant. From Israel, Blinken will go to the capital of Egypt, Cairo for further negotiations.
