Blaszczak: Donations from donors will not last long

In the face of the rejection of the financial statements by the State Election Commission (PCP), Law and Justice (PiS) asked its constituents for financial support. The PKW decision, according to the party's representatives, was unfair and was received as an attack from the opposition. Despite the hard situation, the PiS has already raised about PLN 5 million as part of this campaign. However, what are the actual costs of moving the organization and what financial challenges are facing the group?

Electoral fast reaction: 5 million a week

The fundraising announced by the president of PiS, Jarosław Kaczyński, rapidly yielded results. According to Mariusz Błaszczak, in the program “Graffiti” on Polsat News, during the week the organization raised about PLN 5 million. Although this may seem an awesome amount, Błaszczak admitted that it is only a drop in the sea of needs.

"We are very built up by the consequence of voters. Thank you very much. usually these transfers amount to respective dozen, 1 100 zlotys. That's what we wanted," said Błaszczak, expressing his gratitude for supporting organization sympathizers.

Party operation: PLN 2 million per month

Despite the funds raised, the financial situation of PiS remains difficult. As Błaszczak revealed, the monthly costs of moving the organization are about PLN 2 million. In addition, PiS has a debt of PLN 35 million to pay, which was enlisted for the election campaign. This puts the organization at financial disadvantage, especially given that the funds collected will cover only a fewer months of activity.

Simple calculations show that the raised PLN 5 million is not adequate to cover the costs of moving the organization by the end of this year. Given the difficulty of further raising funds, The PiS must number on additional support from its supporters.

Future of organization initiatives

The financial problems of the PiS have a direct impact on the planned activities of the group. 1 of the first steps was the cancellation of the event “Nawza Polska”, which was to be a consequence to the “Campus Poland Future” organized by Rafał Trzaskowski. The event was postponed at a time erstwhile the organization would be able to finance its organization.

Criticism inside the party

The financial problems of the organization besides faced interior criticism. Marcin Mastalerek, erstwhile Head of the 2015 PiS run and current Secretary of State, expressed his concern about the deficiency of financial reserves of the organization for a "black hour". Although he criticised PKW's decision, he publically asked how it was possible that the PiS, which had been generously subsidised for years, had no savings. However, Mastalerek's comments were displeased by Mariusz Błaszczak, who commented that Mastalerek “has enrolled in Tusk camp and is talking nonsense.”

Conclusion

The PiS financial gathering is further evidence of the importance of supporting voters in the face of difficulties. Although the organization has raised an awesome amount in a short time, its continued operation depends on its ability to rise additional funds and adequate financial management. Criticism by both opposition and interior PiS activists can influence further organization decisions and its future actions.

For the Law and Justice, it will be crucial not only to proceed to rise funds, but besides to build assurance among voters and to manage existing resources effectively. Changes in the plans of events and the request to repay debts may have long-term effects on the organization and its policy strategy in the coming months.
