On Thursday, September 11, residents of the capital spotted Black Hawk military helicopters flying low above the city. The view of these machines over Warsaw is not fresh – they are equipped with the GROM Military Unit in Rembertów. This time, however, the flights caused concern, not only due to their strength and low altitude, but besides due to the fact that they were held only a day after the Russian drones violated the Polish airspace at night.
The inhabitants of Wola, Żoliborza and Białołęka informed media about helicopters circulating for a fewer minutes above residential blocks, floating over industrial areas or landing in various locations.

– I apologize to the people of the capital for the inconvenience. These are indeed spectacular and loud machines, but the military must train," says Colonel Mariusz Łapeta, the press spokesperson for peculiar Forces Command. It ensures that there is no origin for concern, as all activities take place as part of scheduled cyclical exercises.
– Warsaw is simply a circumstantial area with a dense construction, and the military must besides train in specified conditions. The pilots were trained, among others, in making people from buildings – the spokesperson explains. “These skills are utilized during natural disasters, specified as floods,” he adds.
