The Baltic and the Vistula. It is hard to find 2 another aquenas, which equally powerfully built Polish identity and sense of community. Vistula – a river that for centuries has been the axis of the state, a trade route, a symbol of territorial and cultural continuity. The Baltic Sea, which opened Poland to the world, gave access to trade, technology, ideas and at the same time strengthened the safety of the state. These are not just elements of the landscape. It is part of the past of the state and its development.
