Leavitt thus referred to Donald Trump's Tuesday announcements regarding the cessation of trade relations with Spain. This decision was to be a reaction to Madrid's refusal to release Spanish naval bases for the operation against Iran.
Leavitt stressed that the US Armed Forces are presently coordinating with their counterparts in Spain.
