Belarus unexpectedly released 52 prisoners, including Polish citizens. However, what is worth noting, the full operation was not a merit of Polish diplomacy, but a consequence of talks between Americans and the government of Alexander Lukashenko. In exchange for the "humanitarian gesture" the West softened sanctions against Minsk.
