A "special election operation" will be held in Belarus this Sunday. Nobody calls voting election due to the fact that the consequence is known. This time there will most likely not be many thousands of protests in Minsk. The opposition is serving severe prison sentences. Alaksandr Lukashenka has done everything in his power over the last years to strangle the opposition in the embryo. It may be that he is preparing himself not only for life, but wants to make Belarus a hereditary republic.
