The fresh months have led to a clear increase in the safety and defence activities of the Belarusian authorities, which, in their scale and form, go beyond standard military exercises or regular inspections. A key event was the extended comprehensive control of the Armed Forces of Belarus, carried out on an unprecedented scale and under the direct supervision of president Alexander Lukashenko.
