Bialacki: I was encouraged to sign a pardon request, but I did not

After his release on Saturday from prison, the Belarusian human rights defender and Nobel Peace Prize winner Aleś Bialacki admitted that he was unsuccessfully urged to sign a plea for pardon to Belarus' leader Alaksandra Lukashenko. Another freed activist Maria Kalesnikawa called for the release of hundreds of political prisoners inactive held by the regime.
