The past of their usage in the armed forces began with tiny remote-controlled air targets to train anti-aircraft kits. It was created thanks to an American engineer who decided to turn a child's toy into a military product.

Currently, unmanned aircraft (in short, unmanned aircraft) referred to – frequently called drones, regardless of whether they are flying, floating or travelling on land, designed to identify, communicate, logistics or participate in combat missions – are essential means of combating modern armed forces.

The latest issue of the Armed Forces Review includes a full panel of articles devoted to unmanned workers. His cognition of them, while revealing the secrets of investigation and improvement on hybrid drones in Poland, was shared by prof. Mirosław Gerigk of Gdańsk University of Technology. The conclusions and experience of the usage of unmanned workers in the war in Ukraine are devoted to articles by Mr Grzegorz Kołański, Piotr Kocyan and Agata Guziel. Jacek Bilski, on the another hand, was tempted to analyse the micro-class aircraft available in the West.

In addition, in this issue of PSZ you will find articles prepared by PSOT listeners at the Academy of War Art in the academic year 2023/2024: Major Krzysztof Zarzycki on supplying troops during air-desant activities, Major Krzysztof Pawłowski on logistical aspects of introducing fresh weapons and Major Marek Cieplicki on forming a logistical tactical union.

I would besides like to draw attention to articles: Colonel SZRP Dr. Adrian Oppora about operational and training preparation of troops, Major Janusz Rylewicz about fighting in urbanized areas and Lieutenant Dr. Michał Przybylak about the conclusions of the activities of the Light Infantry Company in combating the effects of the natural disaster in Operation Feniks.

I want you a good reading!
