Secure Lithuania, strong NATO. Historical deployment of German troops

On 22 May a ceremony was held in Vilnius Cathedral Square, inaugurating the action of the German 45th Armored Brigade. This is the first specified unit of the German armed forces deployed permanently outside the country since planet War II. The authoritative event was attended by the Lithuanian president Gitanas Nausėda and the National Defence Minister Dovilė Šakalienė, as well as German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius.
