– We have besides discussed how we can work on long-term issues. We know that there is simply a very advanced request for a European air defence strategy in Europe, including an anti-balistic defence system," Kubilius said. As he noted, US production Patriot systems it is already insufficient to meet the needs of Ukraine. In addition, access to US missiles and systems may be further restricted to European users through the mediate East conflict.
– We must take this into account in the context of the production of high-quality weapons of this kind in Europe, in Poland. I know that Poland has the power to make in this direction, to meet Polish and European needs, to attract fresh investments and to make fresh opportunities for Europe to strengthen defence," Kubilius stressed. – erstwhile again, thank you very much for being the leaders of this action – the EU Commissioner concluded.
