Childless and parents of only children should pay higher pension contributions? "This is sick."

In Poland less and less children are born. This concerns not only the rulers, but besides any citizens. A controversial petition was so sent to the Sejm. Its author proposes to introduce higher pension contributions for childless people.
All because, according to the author, childless people are heavy burdened with the pension system, without adding their "stone" to the increase in the number of future taxpayers. He so calls for those over the age of 30 who do not have children to pay twice as much pension contributions. It would besides be possible to get to parents of only children whose proposed pension contribution would be 150 percent.

Information about the above petition appeared on the instagram profile of Gazeta.pl. We asked our readers what they thought about it. As expected, the author's proposal met with quite a few feedback. There were a fewer voices in favour of this initiative, respective suggested mockingly not to forget childless politicians and clergymen. However, the vast majority are greatly shocked by the thought itself.
"Great news for those who unsuccessfully search a child. It's inactive punishment for not reasoning that they can't be more unhappy" - writes 1 of the net users. "Overstep! How can you come up with specified stupid ideas and effort to punish people financially for having no children for various reasons?! In this country we have uphill, it's hard to invent" - adds another.

Others point out the issue of justice: "Childrenless persons now pay for all these 800+. An embarrassing idea" - writes 1 of them. "And so the childless pay higher taxes, they have no children's allowance, with their taxes 800 plus and another benefits are funded. In their old age, no 1 will aid them due to the fact that they have no children. They'll pay for everything out of their own pocket. And now we're expected to pay more ZUS? I haven't been on maternity leave, and I don't take kid leave, so I'm paying more from the women who gave birth. I couldn't get pregnant due to the fact that I have PCOS. Nobody helped me with the treatment, all for my money, and now they're telling me to pay more? This is sick" - we read in another comment.
Children should pay higher contributions? Petition went to the parliamentary committee
First, let us supply conditions for having children: housing, nursery, education, and then come up with specified superb ideas. I'm a mother, and yet, at this point, I don't think it's a good idea.
- another user writes. "The land is overcrowded, and they do hello due to the fact that 120,000 children were born less. Let them find money for in vitro support and facilitate the process of adopting children" - he proposed another internetnaut.

Do the proposed changes have a chance to enter into force? We will shortly see. The Parliamentary Committee on Petitions will address this issue on Tuesday 22 July. What do you think? Should childless people pay higher pension contributions? We encourage you to participate in the probe and comment.
