“Belgorod” and “Poseidon” — another Russian scare

Information about the departure to sea of the submarine K-329 “Belgorod” caused hysterical speculation around the planet about whether the Russians wanted to usage this ship to launch the atomic torpedo “Poseidon” towards the United States. The truth, however, is most likely that neither this large torpedo is yet ready, nor is “Belgorod” yet capable of successfully carrying out specified an attack. In addition, the question remains why the Russians would do this erstwhile they have far more effective and proven means to trigger a atomic planet war.
