Bees about Poland's anniversary in NATO: there is something to celebrate

On 12 March 1999, Poland, the Czech Republic and Hungary were the first countries to enter the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation. On that day, in Independence, Missouri, Minister of abroad Affairs Bronisław Geremek handed over the US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright's instrument of ratification of the Washington Treaty. The accession culminated in nearly 10 years of efforts.
