Leon XIV authorized further beatifications of a group of civilian war martyrs in Spain.
According to the Press Office of the Holy See during an audience given to Cardinal Marcello Semeraro, the Prefect of the Canonization Office, the Holy Father authorized this Dicastery to declare decrees concerning:
– martyrdom The Servant of God Juan Torres Torres and 19 of his companions, the diocesan priests, who were killed between August and September 1936 in hatred of religion in the Diocese of Ibiza (Spain) - this means the approval of the Holy Father to beatify these Servants of God.
–heroity of virtues Servants of God Júlio Maria De Lombaerde (Laity Name: Júlio Emilio Alberto), priest of the Holy household Missionary Assembly and founder of the Church of Daughters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the Missionary Assembly of Our woman of the Blessed Sacrament and the Sisters of Our woman of the Blessed Sacrament, born in Wareg (Belgium) on 7 January 1878 and deceased close the present municipality of Alto Jequitibá (Brazil) on 24 December 1944;
– heroic virtues Servants of God Mary Theresa Tallon (family name: Julia Teresa), founder of the Parish Assembly Visitor of the Immaculate Mary, born on 6 May 1867 in Hanover (United States of America) and deceased on 10 March 1954 in Monroe (United States of America);
–heroity of virtues Servants of God Mary Agnieszka Tribbiola, nun and founder of the Assembly of the Pious Workers of St. Joseph, born on 20 April 1879 in Florence (Italy) and died there on 27 January 1965;
– Heroic The virtues of the Servant of God Clara Andreu y Malferit (née: Barbara Onofria), a nun from the monastery of St Bartholomew in Inca belonging to the order of the Hieronymites, born on 4 December 1596 in Palma de Mallorca (Spain) and deceased on 24 June 1628 in Inca (Spain);
– heroic virtues Servants of God Maria Petra Giordano (née: Nicoletta), Dominican nun born 4 July 1912 in Naples (Italy) and died 21 June 2006 in Bibbiena (Italy).
