A squad of experts appointed by the government after last year's media findings presented harsh criticism of the organisation of the Norwegian kid protection system. He pointed to insufficient control on the side of the Ministry of Children and household Affairs (Barne- og familiedepartementet) and the Office for Children, Youth and household Affairs (Barne-,ungdoms- og familiedrektoratet). Inconsistency besides stems from a separate strategy operating in Oslo.
