RECLAMA
What changes can teachers expect?New regulations are intended to aid teachers work and contribute to a more efficient functioning of schools. The government's amendment to the Teacher's Charter is intended to facilitate the hiring of teachers of specialists in private schools and educational institutions, all by means of much simpler regulations. In turn, the alleged "big amendment" of the Teacher's Charter and respective another laws are intended to improve the working conditions of teachers and offer much more favourable solutions in terms of wages, working time and the protection of their jobs. The fresh rules provide, among others, for: higher Jubilee awards for teachers with 40 years of experience, increased severance payments, simplification of compulsory replacements, anticipation of extending the functions of the school head for 1 further term. The end of black hours 1 of the most crucial changes in the amendment is the elimination of black hours. Until now, teachers have been obliged to stay at school at strict hours each week. After the changes, they will have much more freedom to plan their own working time. This will make it easier to organise consultations and meetings with students and parents, as well as to adjust the agenda of classes to the real needs of the school. As noted, the changes introduced are Barbara Nowacka's consequence to the expectations of the educational environment. Although the provisions have been formally in force since 1 September 2022, the amendments will now full implement and apply in the day-to-day work of schools.
