I found the way of the book “The Jews of Baptism” in the magazine “Pro Christo. religion and Action Body of Young Catholics” (issued from 1925 to 1939). In the list of books recommended was the above one. However, I was intrigued by the message “Confiscated”, which appeared alternatively of the publication price. So, the sanatorium authorities, for any reason they “restricted” the circulation of this work! Despite this, this book, published in 1935, must have enjoyed quite a few popularity, due to the fact that in the offer of antiques we find various editions, and after all we are talking about a period of about 5 years (until the outbreak of the war) in which the book could appear.
Unfortunately, I did not find any biographical note of the author, or even a memory of him – in addition, that the author, along with the book, was on “The index of books prohibited by Never More“ – this could indicate that S. Kowalski was someone’s alias or that the character was erased from the past cards. The lesson allows us to conclude that the author actively participated in the socio-political life in Poland, read patriotic and national newspapers on an ongoing basis, but we know nothing more about it than what we can infer from reading “Christian Jews”.

There is simply a work dealing with baptized Jews and their role. We have decided to give the reader this work, which aims to shed light on the subject.
This work is by nature a compilation character, that is, it contains documentation to which we have been able to reach, utilizing appropriate sources, which for us were only legally published publications.
Our work is free from evil and ill-conceived love of neighbor, in whose name the Polish people should bend their necks in the judaic yoke and constantly turn their cheeks against the judaic fist or saliva. Our work is intended to inform Poles and not Jews at all from the anticipation of betraying seemingly converted Jews who penetrate under the mask of baptism into our society.
In particular, however, we urge our work to the Reverend Priesthood, desiring in an accessible form, that is, a clear and simple language, to give a fistful of facts from history, so that our clergy may be more guided by the Gospel's recommended serpentic prudence than a dove of simplicity, since it will begin to deal with Jews desiring baptism. The vigilance of Fr. Thomas Torquemada and another brave and fearless Spanish Inquisitors towards the Jewish-neofites – let him imitate the Catholic clergy of Poland. Careless or careless, careless treatment of possible consequences of easy baptism Jews equal the betrayal of religion and nation.
