Bank profits down by 20 percent. Mixed outlook for the coming quarters

Polish banks entered 2026 with importantly lower profitability, profits fell by 20 percent year-on-year, and the interest margin is declining. Nevertheless, analysts do not compose off the sector — hope remains in the increasing lending activity and the stabilization of the Swiss franc saga costs.
