This is simply a perfect example of the activity of the mid-level commanders of underground organisations described by the contractor of the task of a clearly exprioprative nature. F. Pisarewski – Perry ( Pisarszewski – Parry)[1], A hebrew belonging to the EGM, then Pawiak's prisoner recaptured by the NSZ, mentions after the release of the idea: "We were to remake the German Gestapo household in Powiśle" and describes the robbery during which a two-man defender overpowers the host and 2 women, he and his colleague, and then in 4 rob gold rated at least a fewer million zlotys. shortly thereafter, there is simply a plan to rob an al. Szucha casino, but as a consequence of the complications, it is not implemented.
Regional underground organizations frequently received specified clever independent troops utilizing their own controversial methods. The celebrated execution of the GL squad under Borow by the NSZ (30 guards and civilians killed) is portrayed as a manifestation of wartime cruelty, but in the general public consciousness it does not function as a fight against robberies, and among the killed were members of the Jan Smoking band and Jan Lisk gang, before the war had already been punished for various crimes. It wasn't about GL, but about the bandit collectives hugged by this organization. In the vicinity of Kraśnik AL, both bands – Jan Lisk and Antoni Palenie “Jastrzębie” – and both crews together with Grzegorz Korczyński’s “Grzegorza” branch, carry out a number of robberies during which they execution and rob. At the end of 1942 Korczyński, only with his squad, raids the court in Gospodradów – execution and robbery, and then arson to mask his achievements. Then, together with Palenie and Lisek, in the villages of Ludmilówka and Grabówka, Korczyński's squad robs and murders about 100 Jews hiding there. These actions are condemned by local secretary of the PPR, Jan Gruchalski "Sokół". Korczyński kidnaps him, puts him before the “party court” and sentences him to death. After the war, Smoking and Korczyński together with respective branch members are arrested for these actions. They've been in prison for a fewer years, then the case is dropped. They're not acquitted, exonerated. It's just that the case closes, and they're back on the force. The communicative of Czesław Taurus (after the Borecki War) "Brzozy" is similar. Works in Świętokrzyskie, Opatów County. He starts with a robbery in April 1944 to court in Grzegorzowice (murder and robbery) to then plunder and execution – manors, rich peasants and plebemen. After the war, he works for the Home Office.
In AL, they were accepted to enlarge individual states, but besides to the AK they received Tutas from Łomzyński. And his war freed him from prison. Tutas leads a joyful life – he drives a moonshine and poachs. In the spring of 1942, the Germans lock his boy and nephew in a police station in small Płock and Tutas with their brother and brother-in-law reflect them, even privately. And if they're looking for them all, they're forming a squad. They're joining the AK. Tutas becomes commander of the peculiar squad of Kediv Oblast. Soon, however, Tutas and his peculiar squad were excluded from the AK for acting on their own, but this is simply a blade and operates alone, regionally, folkally, so that the Germans kidnap his wife and 2 children. This is an ambush, but Tutas is going to trade himself for his wife and children. The Germans neglect to capture him due to the fact that Tutas effectively resists, so they kill him, although he defends himself and manages to kill the commandant of the police station in small Płock.
The communicative of Wladyslaw Rybak from Ujazd in Sandomierz ends somewhat differently. Initially he was a associate of the AK, but later he goes down a bandit path. The ringing is caught by the Germans and mostly liquidated. The 2 members of the band that Germany keeps alive agree to cooperate, and that they know little, so all they gotta do is become impounders and rat on sitting with them for women's purposes.
Somehow I did not find the criticism of AL's actions in the relations of their activists in the subject, and this was a clear Marxist perversion, due to the fact that these "self-sustaining" leftists were defined as opposition against capitalism, even if they were in the form of specified a form as I described above, and the most commonly utilized methods were expropriations, with weapons in hand, and this ... the association of these actions with leftist and conflict with capitalism was a pull on the plane for moose: neither these people nor the way they acted had anything in themselves from the realization of leftist ideas, so they were counted as being part of an armed leftist guerrilla just due to the fact that they could not or wanted to classify them – here were the characters like the stories of Ravachol. [A horrible sentence, I know that.] The local bandit collectives, frequently with the largest guerrillas in the area, were engaged in the local AL branches, and they were eager to take refuge under the wing of a fresh large political force operating even here. And involving fresh members despite their past - the management of AL knew that erstwhile the organization strengthened it would execute a cleaning, besides independent would destruct physically and those little independent would absorb. Wazniewski in “The Partisan Struggles over Nida” tells a communicative about how it was February 1945 in the Red Miechów Army liberated 1 of the guerrilla groups flowing into the city was the GL subversive division of PPS – WRN[2] commanded by Józef Kociół “Piotrowski”. This is what this branch referred to erstwhile reporting to local authorities under the Lublin and NKVD government. “Piotrowski” after arriving at the local office of the authorities organizes a drink for his full branch, during which he separates promotions – something happens for everyone, and the stupidest and least liked is sergeant. Members of this “branch” then “found” themselves in the structures of the fresh authorities. Like others, though dealing with much darker aspects of reality and functioning much more clearly on the another side.
In the work “Public Order and safety in the Occupatory Warsaw”, a historical survey under Robert Spałek, Warsaw 2018, the IPN can be found quite a few information about banditism in the capital and its surroundings. According to OrPo data, 17097 robberies and another acts of force were committed in Warsaw territory in 1940 - 4. According to the GDP information, the apogee takes place in December 1943 – it is 379 robberies and 3790 thefts. Many of them are efforts by members of the conspiracy organizations to collect extortion. This was how PAL and KN worked, including Richard Reiff. During 1 of these actions, a robbery at the Trade Office on Żurawiej Street, neighbors notify the police, and this 1 captures conspirators. 23. 04. 1944 a branch of the Warsaw-based case raids the property of Krubka k. Okuniev in order to win the spirit – the local members of the AK stand up and fight is carried out. Locals lose 1 dead and 1 injured.
Many robberies were made by members of the Division of Combat Diversion 3 of the Midtown region, its commander, cf. “Ryżego” and Cezary Szemley – Ketling, ps “Arpad” and “Janusz”. "Ryży" entered the AK from Wilka's organization, and "Arpad" from the Polish People's independency Action. 12.04 43 are raiding an illegal casino on a basketball street. They're robbing the chief of the Virski gross Office. 20. 04. 43 on Lwowska Street attack Kazimierz Dąbkowski – robbery plus murder. 22. 04. 43 kill bar manager “Jocker”, Jurkowski. 5 and 20.05.43 attack on the Issue Bank collectors, stealing PLN 50 and PLN 149 thousand. 30. 05. 43 kills John Brun, Hans Hill and another German. This period they besides raid the flat at Senatorska Street. 6.06.43 robs Blackberry marriage. 17. 06. 43 kills Henry Hoch. In mid-July, they raid the judaic flat close Grzybowski Square. 10. 07. 43 rob the flat of Cudziński at Kwiatowa Street. The gentlemen yet had a fight and “Arpad” reported “Ryżego”. 14. 12. 43 both get kaes. The conviction is to be executed by Lieutenant Jerzy Tabacki “Lasso”, Marian Szwed and Leon Miller. In the meantime, “Lasso” takes from the AK 100 1000 to buy out an officer of the occasion and embezzles them. 15. 04. 44 4 of these gentlemen are eliminated (Lasso). "Risks", Miller and Swede). “Arpad” managed to escape – 2 kaesa! – after which he switched to PAL and the conviction was suspended.
The turmoil affecting this part of the planet in 1939 paradoxically perpetuated prewar hostility. The erstwhile power, to a large degree sanitation, went to conspiracy, while the allies of the main enemy, Hitler, and so the communists found themselves in an awkward position: it was foolish to argue the authorities of the state friends with Stalin. economical cooperation after 1939 between the 3rd Reich and the USSR is only accelerating. Many of the inferior communists are employed by the Nazi occupier, at various levels – from administrative staff to average spies. Many of them, after years, erstwhile the Red Army is approaching the Polish borders, turn their alliances around and change their way back to the russian Union. Conflicts between specified people from the Home Army after the war were then utilized to reprisal the latter, due to the fact that the erstwhile were later in a crucial amount for the apparatus – administration functioning after the war. Of course, this was helped by the general trend in this part of Europe to physically even destruct the erstwhile opposition. Earlier, in 1941, the underground of independency takes over the NKVD archives in many places and uses them – in the vicinity of Siemiatycz, Drohiczyn, Ciechanowc, Wyszek and Topczew during the movement of the front are liquidated co-workers of NKVD and president of the Soviets. This is done by the Polish Defence Corps Zabużański region and Podlaskie Battalion of the Death of Leon Mierczyński “Bystry”.

The AK, and before the uniting action, the friendly groups and troops, participated in many actions eliminating banditism, the criminal one, the political 1 and the mixed one. The AK, NSZ, and friendly organizations most frequently approach the case: band leaders are killed, the most aggressive members are flogged, and the ranks are forced to join the troops.
In May 1943, the AK and friends organize the action “C.” Cleaning.
From January to March 1944, the AK organized the “Topiel” action. As part of this action, 33 death sentences were executed.
In Borzobohat's monograph I find a description of a long-term anti-bandit action in the Jędrzej region. The action lasted a long time, so either the gangs were reborn or in this area it was trendy behavior. Circuit Kedyw eliminates the crew from Monków and the surrounding area (five people – beginning of November 1943), from Naglowic (three people – mid-December 1943), from Zagaja (two people – March 1944) and the band “Pilata” (three people – February 1944).
In June 1944, the “Kosba” action takes place. At the time, 31 officers and impounders were liquidated.
In the action “Burza” - as I mentioned earlier - specified actions were besides taken in the field. Many of them hit the different AL troops as much weaker in the field, but wanting to last and grow. These organizations spoke different languages and sometimes got along – operationally – but the methods of endurance were different. The AK got into the field and maintained a budget, while AL behaved like a Napoleonic army: feeding on conquered areas, frequently by kindness. Those who managed to escape hunting – like Władysław Urbański – after the war captured by the PRL's law enforcement apparatus – received respective years of prison sentences. Friends from the Urbański gang - Tadeusz Karcz, Marian Więckowski and Stefan Pupysz - were shot by the AK team. But about this crew – the Laluni gang – I will tell you more in 1 of the following chapters.

Conspiracy organizations know about themselves, exchange information in the field and at central level, but due to the fact that they know a lot about each other, they decide to rob each another – you will study it to the police?!!![3] Here BCh organizes “wild” dumps to take over droplets not intended for himself, and even robs the warehouses of AK – close the village of Osiesęki is carried out by this branch coming from the bush, and close the village of Przybał close Wodzisława is carried out by local BCh activists. In the Warsaw territory in May 1944, 5 AK soldiers get caesy for robbing an organizational weapons warehouse (37 pistols and 3 rkm) and selling them to the communist group in the fall of 1943.
When part of Poland found under communist rule, banditism as a way to enrich itself, or simply the frequently utilized technology for endurance was inactive in use. For example, authors participating in an IPN conference mention this.[4] Banditism is simply a problem long after the war and its fight is 1 of the reasons for the agreement between UPA and AK/WiN at the east ends of the PRL at the turn of 1945/46. And even before the war ended, the national conflict became a justification for banditism. Specific, due to the fact that it's not dulled by the authorities. Roman Drozd[5] gives any examples. 24. 02. 1945 militia raid the Ruskie village and execution more than 20 people. 25. 02. 1945 militias raid the village of Podbukowina, execution 12 people and rob them. 9. 03. 1945 militia raid the village of Siniawka, where they execution 22 people and rob them. Attacked and killed are Ukrainians, while the attackers are Poles and representatives of authorities to keep order and prevent specified events. But to the superiors, that could most likely be justified by fighting the bander underground. With the chance of the militia, they vented their national sentiments. It's classic, although it's very dark here, but it's an eternal problem: who will punish a law-abiding policeman.
[1] F. Pisarewski - Perry “Ears and Tails”. Chodakiewicz gives his name in a somewhat different way. It's 1 of the strangest war stories. Veteran 39, belonged to the EGM, arrested in the fall of 41, in November 42 reflected by the NSZ, was in "Fregat" and enjoyed it there, met Dr. Tollig and German, Abwehr officers and did business with them, from 44 in the AK. They are killed and injured, burnt huts, but –Parry/Perry drinks vodka rather frequently and it happens that he goes on an action on an acute hangover.
[2] Which was apparent nonsense, due to the fact that GL subject to the PPS – WRN already in 1942 –3 submitted as part of the AK's single action and became part of it, dominated, for example, in any areas of Zagłębie Dąbrowski in the composition of the AK.
[3] Wojciech Borzobohaty „Jodła” – Radomsko Kielecki territory ZWZ/AK 1939 – 45", Issue II, PAX Publishing Institute, Warsaw 1988. The release date was most likely not meaningless for the content, although it is not as visible as in Massalski's work.
[4] IPN Conference "Action WIS£A", under Jan Pisuliński, Warsaw 2003. A alternatively diverse position, due to the fact that the scope of texts ranges from essays to 2 proposals to discuss the subject in historical school programs. But – as usual – it is worth reading this item..
