Ban on gas imports from Russia with immediate effect. There are 2 exceptions

On Tuesday, the European Commission presented a draft regulation under which a ban on imports of Russian gas, including LNG, will enter into force on January 1, 2026, with immediate effect. Exceptions to the ban are to be made for signatories of long-term contracts and countries surrounded by land.
