BALTEXPO 2025: Navantia with fresh proposals for Orka

Only 3 companies presented at BALTEXPO 2025 submarines proposed for the Polish Navy under the Orka programme: the Spanish shipyard Navantia, the South Korean shipyard Hanwha Ocean and the Swedish shipyard Saab Kockums. In the case of Navantia, the Gdańsk fair coincided with another crucial celebration of the Spanish Navy, which was the launch on 3 October 2025 at the shipyard in Cartagena the second already in the S-80 series of submarines "Narciso Monturiol" (S-82). The first "Isaac Peral" ship (S-81) entered service in 2023, so that – according to Navantia – Poland can already be offered "a submarine with a proven design, which already operates in the service of the parent Navy".
