They were called bandits, though they had military uniforms and eagles on their hats. A year after the end of planet War II, they demanded justice, but the fresh power treated them as enemies of the nation and of the homeland.
77 years ago, on the night of 9 to 10 May 1946, a convoy consisting of 3 cars of the Regional safety Office in Radomsko, after crossing 35 km, reached the village of Bąkowa Góra, located 6 km north of Preborz, and turned into a dirt road leading to the forest.
The lights of the vehicles cut through the night, they were seen from the hilled village until they entered the forest. After 2 kilometers, the cars stopped. In haste, 12 bodies were moved and a German bunker was thrown into the pit.

A fewer hours later, the commander of the UB in Radomsk, Lieutenant Czerwiński reported to his superior in the Provincial UB in Łódź Mieczysław Moczar about the execution in Radomsk of the death conviction on “12th bandits”. From there, the telegraph went to the Ministry of Public safety in Warsaw.

Before
The imprisonment and execution of the 12th Polish Military Conspiracy Soldiers was the consequence of a military operation which took place on the night of 19 to 20 April 1946. 170 soldiers from the Polish Army's Independent Conspiracy Group, codenamed “Lasa”, formed by Captain Stanisław Sojczyński, “Warszyc”, under the command of 33-year-old Lieutenant Jan Roskolka, “Grot”, commandant of Piotrków Trybunalski KWP, captured Radomsko for respective hours and freed 57 soldiers of the AK from the prison.
The attack ended in half a success. Lieutenant Władysław Kumorczyk's “Longinus” unit released only the prisoners in prison, but failed to scope the basements in the UB building, where the aquevals were besides located. besides failed to break the vault and take the files and documents. While retreating from Radomska, Lieutenant Henryk Glapiński's unit, ps. Klinga, fought a victorious 6 pp conflict with soldiers, after which any of them went to the KWP side.
The bravado action in Radomsk sparked Moczar's rage, which sent operating groups trained to fight KWP consisting of Polish and russian soldiers. shortly Lieutenant Rokolka and 16 soldiers were captured. The detainees were subjected to a brutal investigation, which included NKVD officers.
The demonstration process 17 was held on 7 May 1946 in the cinema hall Freedom (Kinema) in Radomsk. The audience was gathered in the hall, including any of the families of the accused and schoolchildren.

The defendants were represented by 1 public defender who did not talk at all during the trial. The death punishment was sentenced to 12 KWP soldiers. The youngest of them were 19 years old.

On the night of May 9, 1946, 12 KWP soldiers were executed in the PUBP cellars in Radomsk. According to witnesses' statements attached to the files at the IPN, the body was massacred.
The next day, the surrounding population extracted the bodies of heroes from the bunker and buried them in the cemetery in Bąkowa Góra.
Memory
Over the years (>>) link) representatives of the “Gazeta Trybunalska” participated in authoritative celebrations of subsequent anniversary commemorating 12 KWP soldiers. However, from the minute that the cemetery began to feature individuals unworthy of this place, as well as discredited politicians, parliamentarians and local governments who utilized and utilized this place for an intrusive promotion, the editorial board stopped publishing material from the ceremony. It cannot be compatible that primitive “selfies” with infantile smiles should be performed before the grave of unbreakable soldiers and immediately placed on social networks (> link).
On the another hand, we warmly encourage residents, not only the Łódź Voivodeship, to visit the places described. Silence, focus, prayer and reflection are the best things that can be. And if you find a field flower, a modest candle – the motion of memory will be strengthened.
Going from Piotrków to Preborz is besides worth stopping at the cemetery in Handel, where the general is buried Stanisław Storm-Karliński, died on 12 April 2015 at the age of 94.
