B. Ratter: Over the years, lies written by strangers about Poles' guilt were perpetuated

The shameful death conviction was carried out on February 24, 1953 in the Ubek executioner for the right citizens of Poland located at Rakowiecka Street in Warsaw. Bandera! More and more throats were shouting that slogan at night among dormant villages and settlements. The chaotic hordes of Ukrainian nationalists of “Tryzuba” ravaged Polish villages, spread like bright islands, among the dark sea ruins, fires, slaughters and torments. ... The raids on the villages of organized defence required not only chaotic degeneration and blood lust, but a certain organization of robbery developed somewhere and by someone.

For the Command of the Lviv AK Area it was perfectly clear and understandable that any action of more serious scope from the bandiers had to be developed by someone, planned by someone. profoundly inspired command of the bander, frequently hiding in imaginary bunkers specially built for this purpose, was practically out of our reach. Intermediate cells, sotniks and thousands of workers, mid-level staff, and, above all, contact points and communications, had to be found and disposed of.

And they did! Without any doubt, by checking it repeatedly and in various ways, utilizing the services of alleged double agents, carefully day and night watching the home on Piekarska Street, it was established that a private law firm - Ukrainian - was a high-level commander of the Ukrainian Insurgency Army. It was his law firm that came out of orders, his office held staff meetings, through his hands passed threads of communication with the UPA chief command. The occupation was easy. Officially registered, the current law firm allowed contact with dozens of people without raising suspicions with the Germans. respective or respective peasants from different, sometimes very distant villages waited in his waiting room, asking theoretically for advice on property, inheritance or criminal matters. He was on the defence list, active in the bar, a lawyer. Most of these stakeholders were informants, messengers, couriers. News, orders, information from this firm went up to command and down into the field. What orders went into the field best known to tortured and murdered people.

... Without hesitation, it was decided to break this chain. A large group of intelligence made up of the best soldiers and officers was mobilized, reached for reserves in German police, for double agents in “cripo”, for wiretaping the firm's phone, feverishly observed, investigated, followed.
