The 2 B-1B Lancer strategical bombers were “operating in global airspace in the Baltic Sea region alongside NATO allies and partners” when, as a spokesperson for the US Air Force in Europe says, there was “unplanned interaction with abroad fighters.” Russian fighters from the Königsberg region took part in it.
