[Asia approaching] India – feminist revolution in parliament or empty symbolism?

In a country where as many as 16 percent of the girls between the ages of eleven and sixteen did not take up school education, and the sight of women working on construction sites and wearing brick or cement bowls on their heads is rather common, women will occupy 33 percent of the seats in parliament. The fresh law is the consequence of many years of efforts by civilian society – a symbolic triumph or a feminist revolution in the most populous democracy in the world?
