For the 3rd time in a row, in the beautiful interiors of the National Museum in Poznań, the awards were presented in the competition of the Wielkopolska and Lubuskie Branch of the Association of Polish Journalists. On Tuesday, June 10, many winners and their relatives and media people gathered at the guest threshold of the castle.
The competition was influenced by 48 applications from press, radio, tv and net journalists from Lubuskie and Wielkopolska Voivodeship. Jury chaired by the president of the Board of the WO SDP, president of the SDP ed. Jolanta Hajdas (on the day of the awards she received the Golden Cross of Merit awarded by the president of Poland Andrzej Duda – they were congratulated by colleagues from the WO and LO SDP).
The jury besides included: ed. Barbara Miczko – Malcher, ed. Aleksandra Tabaczyńska, ed. Krzysztof Chmielnik, typical of LO SDP, ed. Ryszard Gromadzki, ed. Dr. Wiesław Kot, ed. Jan Martini and Barbara Napieralska, typical of NSZZ Solidarity Wielkopolska Region. Solidarity is the founder of the Wojciech Cieślewicz Young Journalists Award.
W The awards gala was attended by: Jarosław Lange, president of NSZZ “Solidarity” of the Wielkopolska Region, Tomasz Łęcki, manager of the National Museum in Poznań and host of the place, as well as Marta Mlekko, manager of the Culture Centre “Park Acts” in Murowana Goślin.
The Jury decided to award, in total, 17 awards and distinctions in 4 categories: the Main Prize, the Virtuti Civili, the Wojciech Dolata Award and the Wojciech Cieślewicz Young Journalists Award.
Awarded journalists received commemorative diplomas, cash prizes and vouchers for a weekend stay at the Journalist's home in Kazimierz Dolny.
The winners in turn received books by Grzegorz Kucharczyk entitled “Monarchia Polska” and tickets to the “Fire and Cross” show funded by the Culture Centre “Park Dziesze”.

Furthermore, for the 4th time, the Management Board of the Wielkopolska SDP Branch honored prominent journalists associated with the region.
