The Hungarian Parliament has adopted rules prohibiting the organisation of equality parades. There was a disturbance during the session. Critic against these changes, opposition politicians have made a strong point of opposition. As a sign of protest, they launched races and recreated the anthem of Russia. The gathering area had to be evacuated.
On Tuesday, the Hungarian Parliament adopted provisions that organisation of the equality parade in the country will no longer be legal. After a short debate, there was a vote, followed by acceptance of the amendment of the Assembly Act. With the initiative to push the project, the ruling organization came forward Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

The vote on the amendment was accompanied by violent protests by parliamentarians representing the opposition organization Momentum. Shortly after the results were announced, the MPs began to rise anti-government cheers and recreated the anthem of Russia.

The amendment was adopted by 136 votes in favour, 27 MEPs voted against, no 1 abstained.
