

During a Thursday gathering with the Minister for abroad Affairs Radosław Sikorski In Przemyśl there was a tense situation. During the speech of the head of the MFA, 1 of the participants interrupted his statement, accusing him of lying about the war in the Gaza Strip. The female was forced out of the area by 2 men, even though she tried to finish her statement.

The event in Przemyśl took place under the motto Local debates, global solutions and was part of a tour of the Regional Centres for global Debate. These meetings are aimed at bringing abroad policy and Polish actions to the global stage.
During Radosław Sikorski's speech, the female who decided to publically protest the Minister's position regarding the situation in the mediate East took the floor. She interrupted his speech and turned straight to him, holding a pair of black flip-flops in her hand.
– Minister Sikorski, I have a present for you. These are the flip-flops from the Israeli prison that a Palestinian was wearing with a Polish passport – Omar Faris – she said.
Charges against Israel and emotional appeal
The female recalled the communicative Omar Faris, a Pole of Palestinian origin who took part in the flotilla Sumud To supply humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. The ship was intercepted by Israeli forces in global waters and its participants were detained.
The protestor said Faris was forced to kneel for hours in flaps, which she showed, and another activists were to be tortured. – I'm not afraid of talking and questions, but everyone should have a small patience and wait for their turn. said the Minister.

The subject of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has been generating immense emotions worldwide for months, including in Poland.
