For the first time in the past of the city, there were 2 buses decorated with Christmas motifs. Christmas buses will be driving passengers for the next 4 weeks.
The tradition of many Polish and European cities is to decorate buses, trams, trolleybuses or subway trains in graphics reminding about the upcoming Christmas. This year the City of Białystok joined for the first time.
“I hope that this action will appeal to the citizens of our city and become a tradition,” says deputy president liable for, among others, the city communication Rafał Rudnicki. – We encourage all Bialystokians, regardless of age, to ride on Christmas buses.
Buses decorated with Christmas motifs, will operate different lines for the next 4 weeks. These 2 “Christmas” decorated buses are:
- Solaris Urbino, rolling stock number 453 – navy-white veneer,
- MAN Lion’s City, rolling stock number 808 – Bord-green veneer.
Vehicles are covered with a peculiar foil on which they are printed:
- Christmas huts,
- Christmas fair,
- garlands,
- balls,
- Snowflake
- and the large golden sleigh of Santa Claus that pulls the reindeer team.
There is besides a direct mention to Białystok, due to the fact that at the front and back of the vehicles there are 2 most characteristic urban monuments:
- Branicki Palace
- And City Hall.
Inside the vehicle – handrails imitate candy Christmas chicks in white-red-green color. White snowflakes can be seen on the floor, while Christmas trees and gingerbread people were stuck on the ceiling.
Vehicle with number 453 (blue) can be found on the following lines: 4, 10, 16, 19, 21, 25, 100. However, a vehicle with a number 808 (bord) He'll go on a rope: 2, 3, 5, 8, 17, 24, 26.
