The [communication](https://www.gov.pl/web/cyfryzacja/komunikat-pelnomocnika-rzadu-do-spraw-cyberbezpieczenstwa-ws-atakow-na-przemyslowe-systemy-sterowania3) of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digitization clearly states that **"some of these attacks had an impact on the actual operation of the systems, and their effects were felt by the recipients of services."** Krzysztof Gawkowski besides emphasized that the perpetrators' goal is to draw the attention of the media to the successful attack.
