On the assumed side of the Constitutional Court at around 6 p.m. on Friday there was information on the order of the interruption in the activities of the president of the Constitutional Tribunal Bogdan Święczkowski and Vice president of the Constitutional Tribunal Bartłomiej Sochański.
The information provided to PAP by Maciej Taborowski, Magdalena Bentkowska and Maciej Berk shows that Anna Korwin-Piotrowska, as having the longest judgeship, became the head of the Constitutional Court and issued orders for interruptions in the service activities of Świętczkowski and Sochański for a month.
Shortly thereafter, the lawyer General Waldemar Żurek reported that he had forwarded to TK 5 requests for the waiver of immunity - 4 concern Święczkowski, the 5th Sochański. Around 19 o'clock, Żurek called a press conference.
The lawyer General was asked on it, among others, about the time erstwhile to address applications to waive the immunity of president Świętczkowski and Vice president Sochański – Friday evening before the Christmas weekend.
– I applied (for the waiver of immunity – PAP) erstwhile I knew that there was a individual in the TK who was not affected by the request to waive immunity. (...) There is never a good moment, for we are always before or before a vacation – Zurek replied.
