On Friday after 15 hours, unknown perpetrators attacked the office of the Civic Platform at Wiejska Street in Warsaw. 1 of the attackers tried to throw a Molotov cocktail at the door of the building where the PO's national office is located.
According to witnesses, the unsub was pushed distant and the bottle crashed before entering the building. A witness inside the premises prevented the spread of fire and attempted to capture 1 of the attackers.
Political motivation of the attack
MP Sławomir Zembaczyński (PO) was 1 of the first people on the scene. "The witness from inside the premises prevented the spread of fire after 1 of the perpetrators threw a Molotov cocktail practically at the door of our national office" - said the parliamentarian.
A verbal incidental occurred during a conflict with 1 of the perpetrators. Zambaczyński reported that 1 of the fleeing attackers shouted, "You j******* platformers".
Member's outrage and assessment
"From here I have no uncertainty about the intention of this attack that he is politically motivated. I am truly outraged at this full situation" - said Mr PO. Zembaczyński emphasized that no 1 was injured by the attack.
However, the parliamentarian said that "it was virtually close to tragedy." The perpetrators yet fled the scene.
