Switzerland is presently in the [final tender phase](https://defence24.pl/defence-policy/swiss-automatic-haubica-na-kolach-instead of-gasenic) for a fresh kind of Swiss self-propelled barrel artillery intended to replace the previously utilized caterpillar M109 KAWEST kal. 155 mm. This variant of the American cannonhaubic is simply a local modernization characterized by, among others, the usage of a longer L47 155 mm cannon (with an increased scope of firing ammunition with a gas generator up to 36 km), inertial navigation strategy and an improved fire control system. In the final phase of the tender for the acquisition of successor M109 KAWEST, Swedish Archer was placed on a 8x8 RMMV HX2 truck (this variant was ordered by Sweden and can be acquired by the United Kingdom) and [seen below RCH 155 on the chassis of KTO Piranha IV/V 10x10)(https://defence24.pl/industry/new-vehicle-piracy). Interestingly, the above mentioned artillery strategy model was presented on the basis of the classical version 8x8.
