"The activities carried out in the course of the investigation of the case did not give grounds to conclude that Fr. Michał O. was subjected to torture within the meaning adopted in the Constitution of the Republic of Poland and on the basis of global law. However, they showed that there was inhumane treatment and another violations of rights and freedoms," the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights said in a statement. During the arrest of Fr. Olszewski, improper treatment by the officers of the interior safety Agency was indicated.
