The vehicle found is named ‘Azowiec’. The starting point was the base tank T-64A or T-64B, which was rebuilt into a vehicle in terms of conceptual and doctrinal terms akin to Russian tank support fighting wagons (also combat fire support wagons) BMPT or BMOP (RUS. Bojewaja tank subdike device or Bojewaja subdide machine). Indeed, “Azowiec” is close to 1 of the first prototypes of BMPT/BMOP known as Object 781.
