Army 2024: BTR-82A with increased firepower and protection

The BTR-82A wheeled armored/bore infantry transporters have been the primary means of transport and fighting Russian motorized units for decades. This translated into immense losses of these wagons in the fighting in Ukraine, which is now defined as a minimum of 833 vehicles of the BTR-82A family, of which 757 are non-return losses (according to Oryx service). This results in attempts to improve the tactical and method parameters of the vehicle, especially in terms of crew protection, which is definitely insufficient. In this respect, presented at the exhibition Armija 2024 BTR-82A received additional mesh armour placed above the tower and rod panels on the front of the hull. In addition to them, the base hull was besides given masking cover.
