For the first time in the past of NORAD, the North American Aerospace defence Command, has captured Chinese and Russian bombers operating in the Alaska Air defence recognition region (ADIZ). 2 [Tu-95](https://defence24.pl/technology/old-but-necessary-bombers-tu-95-in-attacks-on-Ukraine-analysis) and 2 Xian H-6s were intercepted by American F-16 and F-35 fighters and Canadian CF-18s. The incidental occurred on 24 July 2024.
