The modern planet trembles under the weight of civilization's shocks, global conflicts, and spiritual confusion. More and more people ask: is it the end of time? Fr. prof. Robert Skrzypczak in a moving reflection points to the signs that we read in the light of the teaching of the Church, the past of the saints and the prophetic mission of St John Paul II.
John Paul II – the prophet of hope and the vocation explorer
For Fr Skrzypczak, it was the pontificate of Pope Pole that opened a fresh knowing of life before the full generation – not as a random series of events, but as a vocation:
"Many of us owe John Paul II the imagination of life read in the context of vocation. He told us that all man carries within himself the first plan of God, which never repeats itself."
It was thanks to this message that many young people, including Fr Skrzypczak himself, discovered their priestly, spiritual or marriageal path. John Paul II inspired courage – in spiritual choice, but besides in public life, reminding that Faith besides has a historical and political dimension.

The prof. besides recalls the extraordinary cooperation of Pope and US president Ronald Reagan – an agreement that has contributed to the overthrow of the communist system. Their bond was a spiritual and political consequence to 1 of the top threats of the 20th century.
"It was an alliance that had an epochal meaning. Their relationship and joint action led to the collapse of the most inhuman strategy in past – communism.”
Antichrist and the imagination of Saint Caesar from Arles
But is past truly going to the final chapter? Fr Prof. Skrzypczak points to a amazing analogy between the present and the prophecies of the early saints of the Church, especially Saint Caesar of Arles.
This 6th century monk wrote about the coming of the Antichrist After the co-operation of the large Pope and the large rulerwho will accomplish the spiritual renewal of the earth. This imagination is repeated in St. Hildegard, St. Zenobius and another mystics.
"The large ruler will accompany the pope in the renewal of the full earth. The nations surviving in mistake and sin will repent, and there will be wonderful peace among men.”
Is it possible that this imagination is fulfilled before our eyes – in times of spiritual chaos, and at the same time a stronger cry for fact and order?
