Are museums unprepared for a crisis? There is simply a deficiency of plans, procedures, and oversight

Polish museums, including those overseen by the Ministry of Culture, were not formally or organizationally prepared for an armed conflict as of the end of 2025, according to an audit by the ultimate Audit Office. The problems include, among another things, outdated safety plans, gaps in evacuation documentation, the condition of the facilities, method safety measures, and insufficient oversight by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
