The bailout strategy will apply in Poland from 1 October 2025. According to the assumptions of the Ministry of Climate and Environment, its main nonsubjective is to increase the level of recycling of beverages packaging and to reduce littering of public space. Covering plastic bottles, aluminium cans and glass bottles is simply a solution that already exists in many European countries. And it's a success. However, the Polish edition raises many questions, especially among any industries – including pharmacists. Pharmacy isn't just drug transportation points. There's no way we're gonna make a drugstore a pickup point – they say in conversation with TVN24 pharmacists. And they show what the base of the average pharmacy in Poland looks like – drugs from level to ceiling. There's no area for garbage cans. By 1 October, however, larger pharmacies are mandatory, and smaller ones are voluntarily included in the bail system. And that means they're gonna gotta take soda wrappers. besides bought in an average store. That is why pharmacists request the Ministry of Climate and Environment to amend these regulations. They have prepared a peculiar petition on this matter. It reads: “The pharmacy is not only a place to give medicines – these are places where we supply real aid to patients, we advise, support and increasingly execute wellness services, specified as vaccinations or drug reviews. For this reason, I call for the exclusion of pharmacies from the work to participate in the bail strategy (...)". There will be no amendment of the rulesDespite these objections and the appeal of pharmacists, the Ministry of Climate and Environment does not intend to change the rules for pharmacies. Nor does he intend to exclude dietary supplements from the deposit strategy – as many of their producers have called for. - No, we don't have plans. Dietary supplements are a very broad definition in Poland, and if supplements were to be excluded from the bailout system, the definition could be extended to include further products – TVN24 quotes Paulina Hennig-Kloska, Minister of Climate and Environment. According to experts of many manufacturers, to escape bail, their products could be called dietary supplements.
