
Apple intensifys its presence in India – Foxconn Prepares to launch the production of metallic iPhone enclosures in a fresh unit in Oragadam (Tamil Nadu).
This is the first time a Taiwanese giant has produced this part locally. So far, he has been mainly active in the installation of iPhones and AirPods in India.
Why does it matter?
- The housings represent 2-3 % of the value of the materials utilized in the iPhone, but their local production increases the share of the value produced in India
