Another USMC squadron begins process of converting to F-35C Lightning II

On September 17, the United States Department of defence announced that the process of re-equipping VMFA 251 with Lockheed Martin F-35C Lightning II carrier-based multi-role combat aircraft has begun at Marine Corps Base Cherry Point, North Carolina.
