Another training gathering as part of the School of Representation and Social Participation

Another training gathering was held in Warsaw on 11-12 April as part of the task School of Representation and Social Participation – this time dedicated to the 2nd group of participants and participants. The gathering was not only an chance to deepen the cognition and skills of spokesmen, but besides an area for inspiring exchange of experience and building relations between those active in civilian society development.

During the reunion, participants had the chance to perceive to speeches by experts who shared their expertise and experience in advocacy and the legislative process at various levels:

– Hubert Taładaj – ‘National documenting. The main legal regulations and strategy of the legislative process in Poland’;

– Marcin Święcicki – "Legal process and advocacy in practice";

– Tomasz Schimanek – "Review of the most crucial legal acts for the 3rd sector in Poland";

– Jan Truszczyński – "Legal regulation and advocacy at European level".

During the reunion, participants besides had the chance to improve their rhetorical, argumentative and negotiation skills. Another crucial component of the programme was the work on the Individual improvement Plan, which will become a signpost for them for the next months.

The content and workshop parts were managed by the Schuman Foundation squad of King Bartnick, Joanna Jendrośka and Rafał Dymek.

The School of Representation and Social Participation is simply a task aimed at 168 representatives and representatives from at least 40 NGOs operating in various areas of public policies specified as education, the labour market, social inclusion and wellness protection. The initiative includes organisations from the Mazowieckie and Śląskie voivodship, and its aim is to strengthen the competence of the ombudsman and participating participants.
