An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.7 was recorded in the Kuril Islands archipelago, which is part of the Sakhalin Oblast in Russia. Russia's emergency ministry, quoted by Reuters, warned of the anticipation of a tsunami. Meanwhile, according to the Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the erstwhile earthquake in Kamchatka woke up the Klyuchevskaya Sopka volcano.
