On Wednesday, April 9, the president instructed Energy Secretary Chris Wright to retreat the regulations from the time of Barack Obama and Joe Biden limiting the force in shower heads. In particular, Trump opposed performance standards that hinder him from caring for his iconic hairstyle.
“In my case, I like to take a good shower to take care of my beautiful hair,” Trump told reporters erstwhile signing orders at the Oval Office on Wednesday. “ I gotta stand in the shower for 15 minutes until they get wet. The president has long fought a policy to save water in the bathroom.

In August 2020, the Department of Energy began a change of regulations that would let single shower nozzles, but not the full shower head, to emit up to 2.5 gallons of water per minute. Biden's administration announced plans to reverse this regulation in July 2021.
