Ukrainian Legion of Self-defence, in the German nomenclature 31. Schutzmannschafts-Bataillon der SD). The formation was celebrated for the pacifications of Polish villages in Volyn and Lublin. Among the inhabitants of the church and school, individuals were called up. They were then tortured and killed. The cruelty of the attackers was shocking. Many people were slaughtered with knives.
