The Belarusian Journalists' Association reported that Andrzej Poczobut was one more time in solitary confinement – he was scheduled to spend six months there from 23 August. The news about the wellness of the Polish activist is besides worrying.
The last time Andrzej Pochobut was seen on 23 September during the visit of Andeliki Boris, who reported that Pochobut had lost quite a few weight and had wellness problems. At the time, there was no information about isolation.
Andrzej Poczobut, a writer and activist of the Polish number in Belarus, is serving an eight-year conviction in a penal colony with increased safety in Nowopolock for alleged activity “distorting the interests of the state”. He was convicted, among others, for describing protests in 2020 and critical statements about the past of the USSR.
Poland is inactive demanding his release, as are also political prisoners held by the Lukashenko regime.
